FAQ’s
How do you determine which families deserve support?
Haboba’s House evaluates each case individually, with priority given to families who are currently in Sudan. These are the people most affected and many of them are living in extremely difficult conditions, without safety or support.
What payment methods do you accept?
We are currently accepting donations through Donorbox. You can contribute using a variety of payment methods, including credit/debit cards, Stripe and Apple Pay. When you donate, you’ll be able to choose the option that works best for you.
Can I set up a monthly donation?
Yes!
When you donate through Donorbox, you can choose to make a one-time or monthly contribution to our general fund. Recurring donations allow us to plan ahead and provide consistent support.
How can I be sure my donation is going to the right place?
Every donation is sent directly to our trusted partner on the ground – SawaAid, a Sudan-based charity run in partnership with The National University of Sudan; with strong ties to the local community and decades of experience, they are well-equipped to deliver support where it’s needed most.
Funds are used strictly for construction materials and local labor. We do not give cash to individuals to carry our their own repairs.
We’re committed to keeping you informed with regular milestones & stories from the ground – so you can see exactly how your support is making a difference.
Can I volunteer or get involved beyond donating?
Yes!
Amplifying our message and sharing our posts on social media are incredibly valuable ways to contribute. If you would like to get involved with fundraising, please contact us via instagram!
Can Haboba’s House refund donations?
If you believe there has been an error or issue with your donation, please contact us directly at habobashouse@hotmail.com – we’ll do our best to help resolve it.
