Help us finish the Gifted and Talented School.
We need your help to repair the internal and external walls and give the students the learning environment they deserve.
About the school
The Mohamed Sayed Hajj School for Talent and Excellence is a specialist school in Omdurman supporting gifted and talented students across science, technology and the humanities. It was created to give exceptional young people the space, resources and encouragement they need to develop their abilities.
The war caused extensive damage and loss across the school, leaving much of the building in need of repair. Haboba’s House has already completed a large portion of the essential repairs — but the collaborating partners who were previously supporting this project are no longer involved, and we must now raise the remaining funds ourselves to finish the work.
For these students, this is more than a damaged building. It is a place where their ideas, abilities and ambitions should be able to grow — and we do not want the progress already made to stop.
The work that remains…
A large part of the work is already done. Now we finish the walls.
Ceilings & electrics
Electrical repairs and ceiling repairs are complete across the school, along with essential work to make the building safer and more functional.
Internal & external walls
Damaged walls remain inside and outside the building. Repairing them, and making good the cracking and war damage, is the final essential work.
Somewhere for talent to grow
Classrooms where Sudan’s future scientists, engineers, writers and thinkers can concentrate, create and learn safely.
